An abundant resident found across the region.

Found in many habitats but most abundant in lowland arable areas where the underground larvae can be a pest on cereals.

Overwinters as a fully-grown larva, the adults coming to light, often in some numbers.

Note the black forehead is distinctive and separates it from Heart and Club.
